My recommendations for you to think about!

[1] A new restaurant in Berkeley Heights!

Pam & I have had only excellent meals here.  And, it's BYO.

Sami's Land & Sea.com
"All of the produce used in our menu items are grown by local farms and our meats are sourced from organic farmers and fisheries."

[2] Dog walker & Boarding Services

Karen Helstrom (Morristown, NJ) is the Owner of InnFourPaws.com and Karen gets our first 5 star recommendation.  Karen walks dogs in the Morristown area and boards dogs in her home... one at a time.  It's truly an exclusive boarding situation for the lucky client (and dog!)

Check out Karen's website.

[3] Here are 2 purchasing dog product recommendations:

Frontline® Plus for Flea & Tick Control
If you buy this product, why not look at Amazon.com for a really good price!  Costco actually is a few dollars cheaper.  Both Amazon & Costco are about 50% less expensive than the pet chains available in most towns.

Heartgard® Plus for heart worm protection.
This is another item that we need for Sophie.  This product requires a vet Rx but is available (with the Rx) at a reduced price at certain internet sites.   Amazon does not sell this product.

[4] Tip from one of our friends:
Here's a 'Healthy' tip for your dogs & cats.  Avoid the following plants because they can be deadly for your pet.
    • Asparagus Fern
    • Corn Plant
    • Dieffenbachia
    • Elephant Ear
    • Lilies
    • Cyclamen
    • Heartleaf Philodendron
    • Jade Plant
    • Aloe Plant
    • Satin Pothos
[5] Veterinarian (Dr. Brody & his team)
Murray Hill Veterinary Associates

[6] Dog Groomer

[7] Wash your pet's dishes as much as possible!
This seems like a no brainer butmost owners simply do not.  You should wash them everyday.  At a minimum, every other day.

[8] St. Huberts - Madison    St. Huberts
These 2 are highly recommended for most puppies!  Sophie (our 5 year old) is a graduate of both.  It's your obligation to exercise their brain!  With the experts from St. Huberts setting up the path.
  • Puppy Kindergarten - For puppies 8-18 weeks when the course begins
  • Basic for Puppy Grads - For puppies that have graduated from their Puppy Kindergarten course
[9] Dog toys   MyDogToy.com
This is a great site for indestructible dog toys.  And, they are rated by an indestructible index!

[10] Raisins & Grapes
If you don't know already... these (same family, of course) are deadly poisonous to your pup!  Sophie consumed a very small box (1.5 oz) recently and Dr. Brody had to administer a shot to induce Sophie to vomit.  Scary.  Both attack the liver & kidneys. Sophie is fine & bouncing around as usual.

Also:  Onions, garlic, leeks and chives, which are all members of the Allium genus*, can damage healthy red blood cells, leading to life-threatening anemia. Cooking these household staples won't make them any less toxic, so leave them out of your pet's diet no matter how they're prepared.
